Weekly thoughts at the close of the week, edition 11

Sitting down, closing my eyes, and focusing on my breath gives me clarity on the emotions I am feeling in my life. Doing this strips away the constant monologue of the mind and allows me to actually feel emotion instead of mindlessly labeling it. When I am lost in thought, my life is worse than when I am aware in all respects.

The harder I am resisting meditation, the more I stand to gain from a session. It is me being lost in thought that causes me to resist it.


From Eleni: Actions taken today provide dividends for later on in life. It's important to decide what dividends you want later to determine your actions today. Common dividends include money, friendships, and experience. Friendships and experience get harder as you age so important to consider timing.
