As a general rule, as long as it is in good faith, the more someone is willing to tell me unpleasant truthful things, the more pleasant I find our relationship.
This past week was probably the busiest of my life and it seems like every to do list item I cross off, two more appear. This doesn't feel great, but Alex Slobo provided me with the positive frame of, "With a never ending list of things you want to do, you'll never be limited by opportunity not being available to you". To make a gaming analogy, it's better to live a life like Skyrim, where you choose your journey and direction, rather than Mario, where one can only move right.
